1. July 4th Celebration

The city and the parks department have come together to host a July 4th celebration at Fredericktown Community Park. The festivities will be happening at Sockman Lake in the park located at 10 Ankneytown Road. It’s happening on Tuesday, July 4th from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

The celebrations are happening all day. There will be food, musical performances, and lots of community fun. The day will end with a firework show.

2. Christmas in July

This July the annual Christmas celebration will again occur in and around the downtown area. Come into Fredericktown on July 22nd to join the merry fun. The rearview camera in your 2023 Chevrolet Malibu RS will make downtown parking a lot easier as the crowds gather.

There will be vendors to browse and people to mingle with. Santa and his reindeer will be arriving at noon so you’ll want to have your camera phones ready. Christmas in July takes place between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.

3. Badaxe Music Festival

The Badaxe Music Festival is taking place in Fredericktown for the second year. The event happens at 5650 Street on Route 314. There will be at least seven bands this year and more than 15 merchandise and food vendors in attendance. Naturally, there will also be axe-throwing events.

The festival happens over the course of two days and three nights on July 28th and July 29th. You can expect to see locals and many axe-throwing enthusiasts from across the state. Tickets cost $90 at the gate for a single day or $125 for two days. There is an additional $50 fee to park an RV at the festival.

4. Meet a Baby Camel

Heartland Country Resort is now the home of Humphrey, a baby camel. This summer we have the chance to visit Humphrey. We may get a kiss on the nose and possibly participate in bottle-feeding him. Tickets for adults cost $25 and are $15 for children 12 and under. He’ll be available to visit every Wednesday through September from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Visitors are welcome to bring a lunch and enjoy a picnic at the shelter by the pond on the property. You’ll also be able to visit the other animals at the petting zoo. Humphrey lives at Heartland Country Resort and Lodge located at 3020 Township Road 190.

We have a busy summer of community events this year. You’ll want to get there in comfort and style. Visit Fredericktown Chevrolet now to see our new cars.
